Conduit, Open LMS’s exclusive Moodle™ plugin, is now available on both the WORK and EDU versions of the platform.

Open LMS, a global leader in eLearning software and the world’s largest commercial provider of open-source Moodle™ hosting and support services, today announced expanded access to Conduit. This exclusive plugin streamlines back-end administrative tasks and improves data accuracy across enterprise and higher education learning environments. While Conduit was previously only available to higher education institutions, clients on both the Open LMS EDU and Open LMS WORK versions of the platform can now access this plugin that simplifies common back-end administrative tasks.

Expanding access to Conduit allows Open LMS users to leverage the plugin’s bulk action capabilities, improving organizations’ ability to scale their learning programs. Conduit acts as a bridge between the LMS and a client’s external system of record—including SIS, HRIS, HCM, and ERP systems—helping administrators eliminate manual data entry and reduce the risk of human error. The Conduit plugin streamlines and supports the following bulk actions:

  • LMS user management
  • Course enrollment management
  • Course shell creation and duplication
  • Data transfer between the LMS and external systems of record
  • Automatic course backups and archiving

Once integrated with a client’s existing system of record, Conduit automatically imports information from the LMS, enabling back-end administrators to seamlessly update user details, such as:

  • Course grades
  • Certification information
  • LMS activity
  • Course activity due dates
  • Course content updates

Key features of the plugin include intelligent data mapping, transaction logging, unmatched records reporting, and secure file transfer options. Conduit has been tested with more than 100,000 users and one million course enrollments, proving its ability to support large-scale learning operations while minimizing errors.

Access to Conduit is part of the broader rollout of Open LMS WORK 4.5, which also includes enhancements to the mobile app and PLD, plus support for several new plugins.

Our EDU users have already saved countless hours and have streamlined their course enrollment processes by leveraging Conduit’s automation capabilities.
